The Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers (OHA) in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) will be hosting the 3rd Annual Crappie Fishing 101 Workshop. March 7, 2026 at the ODWC Arcadia Conservation Education Area in Edmond, OK. The workshop is a daylong event with the OHA providing lunch.
During the Workshop anglers of all experience levels will learn from Subject Matter Experts (SME) tips, tricks, and strategies to help them learn to become a better crappie angler.
SMEs include full time crappie guides, ODWC staff and other experts that will offer crappie fishing skills training such as High Percentage Patterns, when to use Live Bait, and Artificial Lures, Tackle Selection, Crappie Fishing Regulations, Boating Safety, where to fish, Habitat Improvement, Electrics and How to Use Them, boat control and more.

Every aspect of the workshop is designed to provide attendees with sound and proven information presented in a user friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere. Partnerships in the event will show their support to the new anglers in a unique day not offered in other events.
- The first 50 paid participants through the door will receive from Kiefer Tackle Works one package of Kiefer soft crappie baits.
- Bobby Garland Baits will also provide free soft plastic baits for participants
- Door prizes will include two guided crappie trips donated by Full Spool Crappie Guided Service. One for a youth participant and one for an adult.
