OHA Makes a $2,500 Cash Donation to the ODWC Fisheries Division
- Fisheries Contribution: The OHA Board of Directors recently voted to donate $2,500 to the ODWC, earmarked for a project related to the ODWC fisheries department.
- Matched Funding: The donation was eligible for a 4 to 1 match, potentially turning the $2,500 donation into $10,000 worth of work on the water.
- Member Choice: The OHA offers its members a voice in where their donations go, allowing them to vote on which ODWC project to support.
- Other Contributions: The OHA also contributes to other conservation efforts, including a $5,000 in 2025 and $1000 in 2024 donation for the new archery range at the Arcadia Conservation Education Area in October 2025. These donations are eligible for a 9 to 1 match.
April 4, 2026 ~ OHA Hosts Turkey Hunting 101 Workshop
The Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers (OHA) in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) hosted a Turkey Hunting 101 Workshop in April at the ODWC Arcadia Conservation Education Area in Edmond, OK.
During the Workshop turkey hunters of all experience levels will learn from Subject Matter Experts (SME) tips, tricks, and strategies came to learn to become a better turkey hunter.
Topics covered include but are not limited to:
- Turkey Biology
- Places to hunt in Oklahoma
- ODWC Rules and Regulations
- Turkey Habitat
- Preseason Scouting
- Hunting Strategies
- Calls, gear and more
Every aspect of the workshop was designed to provide attendees with sound and proven information presented in a user friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere.
ODWC’s Western Oklahoma Turkey Biologist, Marcus Thibido kicked off the OHA Turkey 101 class with Past, Present, Future of Turkeys in Oklahoma.
OHA Hosts 3rd Annual Crappie Fishing 101 Workshop
The Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers (OHA) joined forces with the ODWC fisheries biologist, a local crappie fishing guide, and a Bobby Garland representative to provide insight into the world of crappie fishing.
December 19 - 21 ~ OHA Mentored Doe Hunt
The 2025 2nd Annual Mentored Hunt at The Tatanka Ranch was another successful event for the OHA. An amazing weekend with a wonderful opportunity to mentor and foster a growing Hunting community. So thankful for The Tatanka Ranch for hosting and supporting our mission as well as the ODWC Game Wardens. Without OHA volunteers and their support this wouldn’t be possible. Special thanks go Game Warden Jacob Harriett for helping put this together alongside Jordan and Bryon Graves and Aaron Grill.

December 6, 2024 ~ ODWC Wildlife Commission Accepts Donation for Archery Range
The ODWC Wildlife Commission accepted a $1,000 donation from nonprofit Oklahoma Hunters and Anglers for the archery range planned for the Arcadia Conservation Education Area. The donation unlocks $9,000 in federal grant funds to be used during the archery range project.
The OHA is committed to supporting the hunters and anglers of Oklahoma. This donation from the OHA is testament to OHAs promise that all funds raised in Oklahoma stay in Oklahoma.
