Thank you for your interest in joining the OHA Board of Directors.
The board currently consists of five members, including three officer positions: President, Vice President/Treasurer, and Secretary. Our board is made up entirely of volunteers from all walks of life who share a passion for the OHA mission and an unselfish desire to serve others.
Board members play a crucial role in developing programs that advance the mission, providing support to carry the mission forward, and making fiscally responsible decisions that remain mission-centered. By serving on the board, you will have a direct impact on shaping OHA’s future, strengthening our standing in the community, and ensuring OHA remains a relevant force in advancing its mission.
Board members are expected to provide strategic oversight, ensure OHA’s financial stability, act as fiduciaries, and uphold their duties of care and loyalty to the organization’s mission. Key expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Attend a monthly Zoom call held on the second Tuesday of each month
- Attend four in-person board meetings annually
- Actively participate on committees
- Assist with fundraising efforts
- Serve as brand ambassadors for OHA
- Develop relationships within the hunting and angling community
OHA board members are 100% volunteer; there are no paid board positions or staff.
