OHA Hosted the 2nd Annual Kids Fishing Clinic in Elk City
Over 50 attended the 2nd annual Elk City kids fishing clinic to learn the basics of fishing.

OHA Particapated in the 37th Annual Lt. Governors Turkey Hunt
The OHA Board of Directors, Rick Nolan, Bobby Armstrong, and Todd Craighead along with OHA volunteer Caleb Paine, represented the OHA, Elk City and Oklahoma at the 37th Lt. Gov Turkey Hunt in Elk City, OK.
The team from the OHA guided visiting hunters Dallas Branch, Paul Wilmarth from Texas, Jake Hitchings from California and Benton Blaine from South Carolina. Jake, Benton and Dallas were successful in harvesting Oklahoma turkeys.
Thank you, Dallas, Paul, Benton, and Jake, for coming to Oklahoma and considering our great state for future business opportunities.
Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell hosted the 37th Annual Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt this week. This event showcases Oklahoma communities to prospective out-of-state companies and site selection representatives. The seven communities participating this year are Alva, Ardmore, Duncan, Elk City, Hugo, Okemah, and Woodward.
Congratulations to Audrey and Nadia Bachelder on their first Oklahoma turkeys. The brothers attended the OHAs 2024 Turkey Hunting 101 Workshop to learn about wild turkey and turkey hunting. This is only one reason of many that the OHA and our dedicated volunteers host all the Workshops. Can’t wait to see more success stories from the Bachelder brothers.
OHA President Rick Nolan proves the old saying “even a blind squirrel finds a nut” can be true. Rick harvested a 4-bearded gobbler in western Oklahoma. It is estimated that less than 10% of all toms have multiple beards.

Kenzi got her firearms buck Thursday morning as the cold front was rolling in. She uses a vacuum air actuator to fire the rifle while dad aims.
