Welcome to
Oklahoma Hunters and Anglers

Post Conference Survey TBD

On behalf of the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers (OHA), the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), our volunteers, conference sponsors, and industry partners, welcome to the 8th Annual Oklahoma Deer Hunting Conference & Expo.

We are honored that you have chosen to spend your day with us. Our goal is simple—to equip every deer hunter with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make every hunt safer, more enjoyable, and more successful.

What began in 2019 as a single Deer Hunting 101 Workshop at H&H Shooting Sports in Oklahoma City has grown into Oklahoma’s premier deer hunting education event. While the conference has expanded in both size and scope to better serve Oklahoma’s hunting community, our mission has remained unchanged.

Since our first planning meeting in 2019, our goals have been to:

  • Create meaningful Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) opportunities for both new and experienced hunters.
  • Provide an environment where hunters of all skill levels can learn, ask questions, and interact with knowledgeable subject matter experts.
  • Deliver an educational experience that is informative, practical, family-friendly, and enjoyable.
  • Assemble an outstanding team of respected deer hunting experts who share evidence-based strategies, proven techniques, and real-world experience.

Today’s conference features 35 educational sessions led by some of Oklahoma’s most accomplished hunters, wildlife professionals, and outdoor educators. We encourage you to attend a variety of sessions, ask questions, visit with our vendors and exhibitors, and take advantage of the opportunity to learn from fellow hunters.

The outstanding prizes and raffle items available throughout the day reflect the incredible support we receive from companies and organizations that believe in hunter education and conservation. Please take a moment to thank our sponsors, vendors, and partners for helping make this event possible.

This conference would not be possible without the dedication of the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers leadership team, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, our volunteers, presenters, sponsors, and countless individuals who have invested their time and talents throughout the year. Their commitment is what makes this event a success.

A special thank you to our conference planning team:

  • Bobby Armstrong – OHA
  • Leigh Britton – OHA
  • OD Curry – OHA
  • Jordan Graves – OHA
  • Jacob Harriett – ODWC
  • Lance Meek – ODWC
  • Rick Nolan – OHA

Thank you for being part of the 8th Annual Oklahoma Deer Hunting Conference & Expo. We hope you leave today with new knowledge, new friendships, and an even greater appreciation for Oklahoma’s hunting heritage.

Have a great conference, hunt safely, and good luck this season!

A Word from the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers

Raised Here - Stays Here

A Message from the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers Board of Directors

The Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers (OHA) remains steadfast in our mission to serve Oklahoma’s sportsmen and women by enhancing our state’s wildlife and fishery resources, preserving our hunting and fishing heritage, and supporting the conservation efforts of those who value Oklahoma’s natural resources. This mission is shared by our partners at the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC), and together we are working to ensure Oklahoma’s outdoor traditions continue to thrive for generations to come.

The OHA was founded with a commitment to becoming Oklahoma’s premier conservation organization dedicated to protecting and promoting our state’s hunting and fishing heritage. Every day, hunters, anglers, recreational shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the benefits of healthy wildlife populations and quality outdoor opportunities made possible through decades of conservation efforts.

For more than a century, hunters and anglers have been the foundation of wildlife conservation in America. Through the purchase of hunting and fishing licenses, as well as federal excise taxes on firearms, ammunition, archery equipment, and fishing tackle, sportsmen and women provide critical funding that supports wildlife management and conservation programs across the country.

However, with hunting and fishing participation facing challenges in recent decades, the need to introduce new participants, support current hunters and anglers, and reconnect those who have stepped away from the outdoors has never been greater. This Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) effort is at the heart of the OHA mission.

Programs such as the OHA/ODWC Deer Hunting Conference & Expo play a vital role in preserving Oklahoma’s outdoor heritage. By bringing together experienced hunters, wildlife professionals, biologists, conservation experts, and industry leaders, we provide opportunities for participants to gain knowledge, improve their skills, and become safer, more ethical, and more successful outdoorsmen and women.

Through conferences, workshops, mentored hunts, youth programs, and conservation projects, the OHA continues to invest in the future of hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation throughout Oklahoma.

Our motto, “Raised Here – Stays Here,” represents our commitment that every dollar raised by the OHA stays right here in Oklahoma. Those funds are invested directly into Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) initiatives, wildlife habitat improvement projects on public and private lands, outdoor education programs, and conservation efforts that benefit all Oklahomans.

Whether this is your first Deer Conference or you have attended every one, thank you for being part of Oklahoma’s conservation community. Your participation helps ensure our hunting heritage remains strong and that future generations will have the opportunity to experience the same outdoor traditions we enjoy today.

We invite you to learn more about the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers, our mission, and opportunities to get involved by visiting with any member of the OHA Board of Directors during today’s conference.

On behalf of the Oklahoma Hunters & Anglers Board of Directors, our volunteers, sponsors, partners, and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, thank you for attending the 8th Annual OHA/ODWC Deer Hunting Conference & Expo. We hope you enjoy the conference, gain valuable knowledge, build lasting friendships, and leave with an even greater appreciation for Oklahoma’s great outdoors.
